    Ohio: ArtsWave's 2025 Black and Brown Artist Grant  

    This grant offers funding between $1,000 and $10,000 for projects that explore contemporary themes and artistic development by Black and Brown artists in the Greater Cincinnati region. Eligible applicants must be individual artists aged 18 or older, residing in specific counties, and able to demonstrate taxable income from their artistic work.

    California: California Documentary Project Grants  

    The California Documentary Project invites proposals for innovative film, audio, and digital media projects that explore California’s stories, people, and cultures. Grants of up to $50,000 are available to support documentary projects in research, development, production, and post-production phases.

    Stanley Bleifeld Memorial Grant for Sculptors 

    The $5,000 Stanley Bleifeld Memorial Grant, sponsored by the National Sculpture Society, is awarded annually to a sculptor who has demonstrated outstanding ability. Artist must demonstrate a mature body of work inspired by nature that includes works of sculpture in the round and in bas-relief.

    New York: Bronx Council on the Arts Grants

    The Bronx Council on the Arts (BCA) offers funding to support community-centered arts and culture projects and to recognize outstanding local artists. Applications are accepted from individual artists, artist collectives, and non-profit arts and community organizations for projects in a wide variety of disciplines, including dance. 

    Several grant applications close Nov. 8 and Nov. 15.

    New York: Brooklyn Arts Fund Grants

    Each year, Brooklyn Arts Council regrants hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding to 501(c)(3) organizations and individual artists all across the borough. More than just monetary support, a Brooklyn Arts Fund grant is an opportunity to connect with mentors, training, and future creative collaborators. 

    Several grant applications close Nov. 8.

    New York: The Charlene Victor and Ella J. Weiss Cultural Entrepreneur Fund 

    The Charlene Victor and Ella J. Weiss Cultural Entrepreneur Fund supports professional development for the next generation of women artists and arts administrators. This fund allows Brooklyn women artists and arts leaders to leverage their creative passions with the entrepreneurial skills to sustain a creative career. Two (2) Brooklyn-based women artists or arts administrators will be awarded $2,500 each toward costs for individualized professional development.

    Texas: The Idea Fund Round 18 Grants

    The Idea Fund will award a total of $60,000 in Round 18 to artists or collectives in the Greater Houston Area with grants of $2,500 and $5,000 each. The lead artist must reside in one of the following counties: Harris, Galveston, Brazoria, Fort Bend, Waller, Chambers, Liberty, Austin, or Montgomery.

    South Carolina: Emerging Artists Grants  

    This grant is designed to assist emerging artists in South Carolina through project grant funding up to $1,000, as well as mentorship and professional support during the grant period.

    Frameline Completion Fund for LGBTQ+ Documentaries

    Available to emerging and established filmmakers, this program seeks to provide a much-needed source of financial contributions to artists who often struggle to secure funding to complete their works. Grants up to $5,000 are available for the completion of films that represent and reflect LGBTQ+ life in all its complexity and richness.

    2025 Puffin Foundation Grants for Video/Film or Theater 

    The Puffin Foundation Ltd. seeks to open the doors of artistic expression by providing grants to artists and art organizations who are often excluded from mainstream opportunities due to their identities or social philosophies. In 2025, the Puffin Foundation will fund proposals in the genres of video/film or theater. The maximum grant size is $3,500; a typical grant is about half that amount.

    The Velocity Fund

     

    Pennsylvania: Velocity Fund Grants

    The Velocity Fund offers twelve Philadelphia-based artists and collectives $5,000 to develop and present new projects — particularly those that are experimental in genre, collaborative in practice, grounded in their communities, and thoughtful in their impact. Independent artists, collaborative groups, and non-incorporated collectives are welcome to apply.

    The Gulliver Travel Grant

    Since 2004, the Gulliver Travel Grant has been awarded annually to assist writers of speculative literature in their non-academic research. These funds are used to cover airfare, lodging, and other travel expenses. Travel may be domestic or international. You may apply for travel to take place at any point in the following year.

    Apply by Nov. 30.
