Artadia Awards: Houston  

The Artadia Awards provide financial support, exposures and recognition to artists with unrestricted awards of $15,000 or $25,000 provided to four artists in a different program city each month. This month, artists in Houston are invited to apply. 

Applications are open Oct. 1 – Nov. 1. 

 

 

Craft Research Fund Grant  

Grants between $5,000 and $15,000 are awarded to support new and interdisciplinary research about craft in the United States. This grant is intended to support research and is not for the creation of artwork. This grant will not provide funding for already completed research or the dissemination of already completed research. 

Apply by Oct. 4.

 

 

Rising Voices 4: Prize For Women Figurative Realist Painters

The Bennett Prize awards $50,000 to a woman artist to create her own solo exhibition of figurative realist paintings, which then travels the country. The Prize propels the careers of women painters who have not yet realized full professional recognition, empowering new artists and those who have painted for many years. 

Apply by 11:59 p.m. MST on Oct. 4.

 

 

 

2024 VeganFlix Seed Grant  

VeganFlix is awarding a seed grant of $500 to support a new video work in 2024. The application process is designed to encourage and support video projects that highlight veganism, animal rights, or feature positive authentic vegan characters.

Apply by Oct. 6.

 

 

Alex J. Ettl Grant for Sculpture 

The Alex J. Ettl Grant awards $5,000 to a figurative or realist sculptor who has demonstrated a commitment to sculpting and outstanding ability in their body of work. The grant is for a mature body of work; sculpture created in workshop or instructional settings should not be submitted.

Marilyn Newmark Memorial Grant for Sculpture

The Marilyn Newmark Memorial Grant awards $5,000 to a sculptor specializing in animal sculpture who has demonstrated a commitment to sculpting and outstanding ability in their body of work. The grant is for a mature body of work; sculpture created in workshop or instructional settings should not be submitted.

Playbook $100k Imagination Fund 

Using Playbook templates, creatives are invited to showcase their personal creative journey and outline a 30-day proposal for any project that involves digital assets, including images, text, audio, videos, or graphics. The top 50 projects will receive grants ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 based on need, originality, and potential community impact.

Strategies for Accessing Capital Workshop: Fort Collins

DreamSpring’s free workshop is designed to help entrepreneurs navigate the complexities of securing capital to fund their business dreams. Held at 1 p.m. MT on Oct. 17 at the Old Town Library in Fort Collins, CO.

Rbhu Gives Back Monumental Sculpture Grant

Rbhu will provide structural or mechanical engineering services for any size artwork, which can include analysis, construction drawings, and permit documents, depending on the project's needs. One full pro-bono project will receive up to $6,000 in free services, and two projects will receive 50% discounted services worth up to $3,000 each.

Decorative Arts Trust Dean F. Failey Grant

The Decorative Arts Trust underwrites grants up to $15,000 in support of noteworthy research, exhibition, and object-based conservation projects. Areas of interest include new scholarship in decorative arts, material culture, craftsmanship, and historic preservation.

Adobe Creative Residency Community Fund  

This $10,000 award allows creatives impacted by the invasion of Ukraine to support themselves and their families during this time of conflict. Selection is determined based on your professional portfolio and whether you have been directly impacted by the attacks on Ukraine. You do not need to submit a project proposal with your application.
