Are you an aspiring entrepreneur based in Colorado? You’ll want to check out the Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT) Business Foundations Assistance Program! This free program provides business education and reimbursable grants to eligible Colorado small businesses.
Offered digitally and self-paced, the Business Foundations Assistance Program of the Minority Business Office Colorado OEDIT division includes three training pathways:
- Legal Formation and Registration: You’ll be guided through how to legally incorporate your business and access the benefits of training programs and grants from local and federal governments.
- Accounting and Finance: Learn how to create and manage accounting systems for your business and then clearly report your company’s financial information.
- Digital Marketing and E-Commerce: Digitize your business to improve client relationships, increase the presence of your brand in the market, and create new opportunities to deliver your products and services.
At the end of the three training paths, participants will receive a certificate of completion upon review of uploaded materials. Once completed, businesses may be eligible to apply for small grants of up to $1,200. Grants may be used to reimburse expenses incurred during the training modules, as well as costs for incorporating a new accounting system or digital tools into your business.
