Owner of Cleyx in Gilbert, Arizona
As the founder and CEO of Cleyx, Mory Diané creates sustainable consumer products and services through innovative engineering and design. His company's first invention, the Rover, aims to tackle plastic waste in the skincare industry.
The patent-pending Rover is a refillable roll-on skincare applicator that eliminates single-use packaging. Made from 100% plant-based materials, Rover is biodegradable, compostable, and compatible with a wide range of skincare products — creams, lotions, oils, and more. Its ergonomic design features pop-art colors and a lymphatic drainage massage function, making the case that you don’t have to sacrifice self-expression and self-care for sustainability.
Mory’s background as a civil engineer and MBA education, along with nearly two decades of experience in sustainable power plant design, prepared him to bring green innovation to the personal care industry. “I’ve seen the power industry adopt greener solutions,” he explains. “I wanted to bring that same commitment to sustainability to skincare.”
To take Rover to market, Mory partnered with DreamSpring on a $149,975 Small Business administration (SBA) loan. He describes his experience as “the best” for its ease while receiving “outstanding” customer service. With DreamSpring in his corner, Mory is rolling out his vision for a planet with less plastic waste.
