Owner of My Wicked Dude in Colorado Springs, Colorado
There’s nothing like the feeling of carving your way down a snowy mountaintop on a great pair of skis. Winter sports are cherished worldwide, and it’s all thanks to the ingenuity of indigenous people from Central Asia and North America — the original inventors of snowshoeing, sledding, and skiing. Yet despite being the legacy of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or People of Color) trailblazers, modern winter sports often lack representation for people of color. That’s why My Wicked Dude, LLC is creating inclusive spaces in outdoor sports.
Founded by Adetolani Adeosun, a U.S. Navy Aircrew veteran and adventure-seeking creative entrepreneur, My Wicked Dude is a lifestyle brand dedicated to infusing outdoor sports with community and cultural diversity.
Custom skis and snowboards comprise the base layer of Adetolani's vision. To safeguard the planet he loves so dearly, Adetolani makes all of his gear using eco-friendly materials. "We must all do our part to reduce our carbon footprint and protect our environment," Adetolani says.
My Wicked Dude also curates destination experiences — including a recent BIPOC skiing trip to Steamboat Springs, Colorado. These trips offer a chance to reconnect to nature, build community, and share untold stories in a brave space. By centering BIPOC voices and experiences, My Wicked Dude hopes to change how adventure sports are represented and encourage more inclusivity.
"We believe in creating opportunities for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts to connect with nature and each other in a safe space," Adetolani says. "Our goal is to bring more diversity to the outdoor sports scene and help people find their passion and their tribe."
In 2024, Adetolani worked with DreamSpring to secure a $52,500 Small Business Administration (SBA) loan. With financial support to buy more equipment and supplies, My Wicked Dude is expanding its operations and offering even more exceptional products and experiences.
