We're excited to welcome our newest DreamMaker, Tassjania Lozano, as she steps into the role of Philanthropy Officer! Tassjania comes to DreamSpring with 15 years in cause-related work, with an emphasis on Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs).
Tassjania’s passion for building community and equity for underserved people is a through-line in both her professional work and personal life, as she is an active volunteer and community member in her hometown of Dallas. A proud daughter of Mexican immigrant parents, Tassjania (pronounced “Taz-JAW-ni-ya") shares that DreamSpring’s longstanding track record of impact, as well as the diverse makeup of its leadership and staff, spurred her to become a DreamMaker.
“I’m excited to be part of an organization who has been committed to diversity and inclusion since its inception; it’s clear from our board all the way through our team,” she says. “Diversity allows us to best represent our clients and the communities we’re in. This is our strength and makes our culture strong and beautiful.”
In her new role as Philanthropy Officer, Tassjania works to cultivate and steward the philanthropic relationships that propel DreamSpring’s mission of vitalizing communities through entrepreneurship. She joins DreamSpring’s Head of Stakeholder Engagement, Amber Kani, in deepening community partnerships that make DreamSpring’s work possible.
Tassjania’s resourcefulness, people-oriented approach, and hands-on experience in connecting underserved small business owners to capital are assets to our organization and the clients we serve!
